Techservices (North East) Ltd works with many blue chip customers routinely statutory inspecting their hundreds of sites around the UK. Our inspectors are subjected to a wide range of equipment on a daily basis regardless of size and scale. Techservices have the ability to provide a register for every customers own inventory or if required Techservices can establish an inventory.  Techservices can also provide inspection for loose lifting equipment or In-House inspection if required. 

We also carry out full structural surveys on specific items of plant i.e. container cranes, R.T.G.s, R.M.G.s, fork trucks etc.  The scope of these inspections can include full mechanical, electrical, hydraulic inspections along with ultrasonic and N.D.T. work.

STATUTORY INSPECTION & INSPECTION SERVICES

From our head office in Gateshead along with our three branch offices at Hull, Immingham and Cardiff, we carry out the statutory inspection requirements for a large number of Port Authorities.

These include the inspection of all plant from loose lifting gear through to Ship/Shore Container Cranes.

INSPECTORS

Our dedicated team are continuously trained to the highest levels within accordance to the nature and place of required business. Due to our expertise in these fields many organisations are adapting their work methods to integrate with our systems.

LIFTING EQUIPMENT

We are able to carry out examinations of all types of lifting equipment and produce a register as required. This includes both 6 and 12 monthly visits as stated in the lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations 1998.  As all lifting equipment needs to be certified for Health and Safety purposes we can proof load test and certify your equipment, utilising dead weight or calibrated load cell equipment.

PRESSURE SYSTEMS

We are able to provide written schemes for the examination and testing or pressure systems in accordance with the pressure system safety regulations 2000.  If pressure equipment fails in use, it can seriously injure or kill people nearby and cause serious damage to property.  Techservices can carry out the examinations of the pressure system in accordance to the written scheme and the regulations.

ELECTRICAL

We carry our electrical inspections of equipment and industrial buildings in accordance with the electricity at work regulations 1989.  This element of electrical inspection and testing is incorporated within examinations of powered lifting equipment.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

We have qualified personnel for carrying out magnetic particle inspection (MPI) on components and welds.  Please contact us with your enquiry regarding non-destructive testing and we can happily advise.

STRUCTURAL AND BUILDINGS

Our dedicated expertise extends to assessment of portal steel frame structures for their continued integrity or damage repair.  Currently we examine structures for quarries including conveyors, hoppers, silos, buildings and many more.  The examinations are in accordance to the building regulations Part A, BD 63/94, BS EN 620:2002, BS 5395-3:1985.
